| The importance of Keratin? On the top of each extension, a thin sheet of keratin is used to attach that unlike silicone, allows the hair move naturally. Keratin is a remarkable protein which forms the hair, nails and outer layer of tear. Hard keratins are found in hair fiber and they are very resistant to degradation ( breaking down) , it behaves just like our hair which means keratin is compatible with heat and water ensuring it will not deteriorate under these conditions. Keratin expands when wet and closes up when dry just like our hair cuticles do when water or heat is applied. |
